Suzie Goumas - Artist

"I am inspired by the beauty in and around the NSW coastline. Having grown up around the beaches of Sydneys North, I love recreating the playground of my youth on canvas, sailing, surfing, diving and swimming. The movement in my paintings brings these memories to life forever. I like to bring my subjects to life with movement using a lot of texture, and exploring the mixture of colours that evolve when finishing off with oil. I love the buttery texture that oil lends to finish off a composition."

Suzie Goumas is a lover of traveling around our globe and capturing special moments on canvas. She started out using acrylics and has moved onto to using mixed media. 12 years ago Suzie relocated her young family to the Central Coast in search of a cleaner more simple lifestyle and for her kids to have a taste of what she did growing up playing in and around the coastline. Suzie’s style continues to evolve always exploring new ways to add texture to her subjects and giving them movement.

Suzie is the creator of “The Copa Creative Artist Collective “bringing a number of artists from the Coast together to form regular ART shows. What started from humble beginnings is now attracting an audience from far and wide and artists from all over the coast. She has also exhibited at the 5 Lands Walk Art Exhibition, Crowne Plaza Terrigal and is a regular artist featured on Bluethumb.

Suzie is also the creator of “Rose and Renoir” a paint n sip business conducting events for leisure and corporate team building groups. Her artwork can be found in Sydney, the Central Coast and in the USA.
