Dave Charles

With over 30 years of dedicated practice, self-taught artist Dave Charles has developed a profound connection to the natural beauty of the Central Coast, channeling it into vibrant seascapes that capture the essence of coastal life. Working primarily with acrylics and oils, his paintings evoke the ever-changing moods of the ocean, from serene sunsets to tempestuous storms, inviting viewers to experience the tranquility and power of the sea.

Dave has exhibited in numerous art shows, including the Copa Creative Art Show, Killcare Art Show, Hunters Hill Art Show, 5 Lands Art Show, Avoca Connections Art Show, Central Coast Grammar Art Show and several solo exhibitions. 

Dave has completed numerous commissions for homes in Sydney, Adelaide, and the Central Coast, including murals for local schools. Over the years, he has won several awards, including the prestigious Grandma Moses First Place for artworks inspired by the Central Coast. Passionate about sharing his knowledge, Dave also offers art lessons for all ages and levels of experience.
